TRAVEL & TRANSFERS                                             Travel, Flight contacts and transfers

Ski Grands Montets provides accommodation only, however we can co-ordinate flight and travel arrangements for your journey to the Chardon Bleu. This ensures you flights are fully covered by ABTA or ATOL

Transfers from Geneva Airport to Chamonix and return are provided by Ski Grands Montets for £40 per person on a shared vehicle
basis, exclusive service available subject to availability at additional cost.

For those of you who prefer total independence we are also able to offer excellent car hire rates from Geneva airport.

DEPOSITS

BS00005A.gif (2466 bytes) A deposit of £100 per person plus the insurance policy is required with the booking. For those who already hold travel and winter sports insurance we require proof of cover with the booking.

Holiday insurance is mandatory when booking your holiday with Ski Grands Montets Ltd. The policy will be automatically added to your invoice unless you stipulate otherwise. If you have existing travel insurance or choose to purchase this elsewhere please ensure that it at least equals our cover. Please ensure that it will be easily recognised in the event of its use in France, you must provide proof of insurance when booking

We recommend SKI-GUARD Travel Insurance at Lloyds.

Policy Cover "Maximum benefits": Cancellations £3000. Medical Expenses £2000,000, Personal Accident £15,000, Delay £60, Missed departure £500, Baggage £1000, Personal money/lift pass £500, Personal liability £2000,000, legal expenses £5000, Ski Equipment £500, Ski Hire £300, Ski Pack £400, Piste Closure £500.

Cancellation cover starts from the moment you have made your deposit, therefore no refund of the policy can be made.

Full details of your insurance policy will be sent to you on confirmation of your booking.

 

The Small Print !

Booking Conditions: Ski Grands Montets (SGM) shall include its associates and employees where appropriate. The Client refers to the person who signs the booking form, but includes all persons on whose behalf the Client books. Your holiday refers to a holiday for all persons on whose behalf the booking was made. A contract will exist between the Client and SGM on receipt of a signed booking form detailing all persons taking part in the holiday, together with £100 per person deposit and the insurance policy where appropriate. Any contract and conditions existing between SGM and the Client are governed in all respects by English Law.

Payment: The full cost of your holiday must be made no later than eight weeks prior to departure. For late bookings full payment must be sent with the booking form. SGM reserve the right to cancel your holiday if full payment is not made by this date, resulting in forfeit of all deposits and insurance premiums.

Surcharges: SGM reserve the right to increase our prices at any time before we confirm your booking. After this point no surcharges will be made unless they are as a result of Government Action.

Cancellation by SGM: We reserve the right to cancel or change your holiday and in this unlikely event either a holiday of similar standard will be offered or all moneys refunded, unless the cancellation or changes are a result of force majeure - events beyond the control of SGM such as fire, floods, war, strikes, riots, natural disasters, political unrest, terrorist activity and so on.

Cancellation by the Client: Will only be accepted in writing by the person who signed the booking form and will be subject to the following fees.

No of weeks before departure: Over 8 weeks full deposit plus insurance 8-4 weeks 50% 4-2 weeks 70% 2-0 weeks 100%

Changes: Where possible will be accommodated if received in writing , but we reserve the right to pass on any charges incurred.

Damage by Client: When booking your holiday with SGM you accept responsibility for the proper conduct of yourself and your party while on holiday. SGM reserves the right to terminate your holiday without refund should either your behaviour or a member of your party be detrimental to SGM, its Clients, its properties or services.

Responsibilities of Client: SGM accept no responsibility for personal belongings, baggage and skis, they remain at all times the responsibility of the owner. Advice sought by, or given to the client by SGM, will at all times, including skiing be accepted at the Client’s own risk. SGM accept no responsibility for accident or illness to the client. Children and babies’ welfare and behaviour are the full responsibility of the client; safety is ensured where possible but any client taking children on holiday does so at their own risk.

Limitations of Liability: SGM accepts no responsibility for any service offered on behalf of a supplier over whom SGM has no direct control. The Client will be bound by the conditions of all suppliers whose services they partake of during the course of the holiday.

Visas & Travel Documents: The Client must ensure his party is in possession of all valid visas and permits for France. EU citizens do not normally require a separate visa but Australians and many other countries do.

Claims: Any claim or complaint must be notified to a representative of the SGM within 24 hours. Claims or complaints unresolved in the resort must be made in writing by the person who signed the booking form to SGM within 28 days of the end of the holiday.
